Today is a day of threes, which is good, since it’s the third day of the week. Both Harmonix and Lionhead Studios announced the releases of Rock Band 3 and Fable III today. As you probably know by now, the newest installment in the Rock Band franchise comes with all of the great old gameplay you know and love, plus an updated Music Library (see video below), the new Pro mode and, the biggest updates of all, keyboard and a real guitar. And let’s not forget about those free DLC tracks available for the launch week. Pricing and bundles are the same as previously announced.

The third installment in the Fable franchise, Fable III takes you on a journey to become ruler of Albion. It includes both single player and full-featured cooperative multiplayer modes, Lionhead’s knack for narrative, an updated combat system, an awesome Hollywood cast, including John Cleese and, possibly the biggest and most intriguing new feature, an interactive and changing 3D menu. Pricing for the standard edition has been updated to $59.99 USD/$69.99 CAD (which is slightly ridiculous considering the current state of the Canadian Dollar), while the Limited Collector’s Edition pricing will stay the same.
